Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This Magi spends most of his time searching for answers to elusive but consequential matters (or various personal curiosities) within the deepest recesses of the Isles' libraries. After finding a particularly important piece of information (for something he doesn't recall as it wasn't of much interest compared to his research), the Keeper Natayah wanted to personally thank the Magi. When he came out, she could not recall his name. When asked for it, he muttered something about the silliness of names and that one should be known by their deeds and works. So instead, the Keeper bestowed him with the title "Arcane Research Fellow." However, the title eventually shortened to an acronym ARF which then became his nickname. However, the Magi does not seem to mind as he is proud of his contributions and earned title and cares not that his nickname may bear a similar sound to a barking dog.
