Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

One could think, if one didn't know her, that Nivea Alba simply preferred the night to the day of her own choosing. As accustomed as she is living during the night and sleeping during the day, most don't even bat an eye at the sight of her, strange though this behavioral pattern may be for an albino. Or maybe not as much as one might think. Pigmentation making them especially sensitive to the sun's light, there is only the oily secretes protecting the albinos' skins. Nivea Alba, though, is a different story.

Born with a genetic disorder, she has always been at a disadvantage. Her parents were so shocked, when they realized that her oils didn't protect her, that they abandoned her almost immediately. Trying to survive while keeping away from sunlight, Nivea Alba finally found refuge with a group of relatively tolerant albinos. Initiation into this tight-knit clan was hard, but in the end, she managed. At last, she had somewhere to belong.
