As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.
Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.
User Description
Night-Winged Glory is a somewhat fussy dragon. He always has some objections to everything: his bedding is too hard, his companions too noisy when he is trying to sleep, or the food he is given not fresh enough. Everyone would feel that Glory is very disagreeable if not for the fact that thanks to the fussing, he often goes out to find his own things to decorate their abode with and shares them with the rest of the flock. Due to his small size, the other dragons are apprehensive about letting him fly around on his own in case anything should happen to him and he is unable to defend himself. Thus, he is often accompanied on flights by one or two other dragons.
