Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Jack Cheddar, or Jack, is a young Cheese dragon. Like Colby Asiago, he knows quite a bit about cooking, as is Colby's apprentice. He thinks of Colby as an older brother, and is always eager to try out the new dishes he cooks. Even though his dishes are currently inedible, he learns a lot from Colby, even though he doesn't really listen to most of it. He isn't very bright, but is very kind and friendly, but can sometimes annoy the other dragons with his constant talking about random things, such as "how amazing it would be to live in a hollowed-out tomato" or wondering "what it feels like to be a bottle of ketchup", etc. He loves to pull pranks on Ajax and Rave with his best friend, Steve the Dino. He currently has no specified mate. In Drakeville, he is the student teacher in Colby's cooking class, but always does things like catching the kitchen on fire, under-cooking the dishes, etc.
