Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

It was nothing more than a lunge for food, the same quick flick of snapping jaws after a fly that she'd performed a thousand times before, that changed the course of this dragon's fate forever. Her zealous pursuit of her prey took her one step too far, out of the forest and into the human town beyond--or, more accurately, what little remained of it.

The dragon who had never known more violence than the hunt of bugs looked out in horror on the ravages of a mercenary troop; countless dead, piled bodies, red stains upon the earth. In that moment she swore it would never happen again.

Gaddes is older and braver now then she was then, a sworn soldier in the army of a just and gentle king. Her troop drives off bandits and thugs wherever they travel, and always she's at the forefront of the action--living proof that even the smallest and most naive of dragons can change the fates of many.
