Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It likes to play in small piles of sand.

And look! Its wings have grown larger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Why is not very good at making decisions herself and thus relies on and looks up to other dragons. When she doesn't know what to do, she just copies the motions of any dragons near her. There is one dragon though who she looks up to the most, Emrys. He is her favorite dragon out of them all, and so she decided to make a decision by herself for once. She wanted to thank Emrys for all her had done for her, so she convinced all the caveborn dragons to put Emrys at the end of their names. She also asked them to add Emrys to the end of any of their offspring's names as well. Most of the dragons agreed to pass the name Emrys down from generation to generation for her.
