Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hilaris is a gentle spirit and makes the holidays brighter when she's around. Her name means Cheerful Christmas and fits her perfectly. Her favorite game is hide and seek, her being very clever and able to find suitable hiding places. She is one of the smartest of Kinners' dragons, being able to do extremely advanced math and to define almost any word. She can be sensitive, though, especially if someone taunts her or says she is worth nothing. Hil is very clean, having an almost catlike demeanor, and brushes her scarlet hair with a brush provided for her by Kinners every day. She also polishes her horns and claws using a special ointment she creates with ingredients borrowed from her owner. Her loving mate is Subitus Turbo, a competitive gray dragon.
