When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Drifting in the water, Brine hatched when he hit an ebb on the shore and fell back into the water, and nearly drowned. He quickly adapted to the ever-changing currents of this weightless domain, but was scared to ever go close to the shore again. This pond he swam in provided everything he needed: space, food, and an easy path for his family to find him. However, as he matured, he grew out of the pond, as a reptile grows out of its skin and sheds. With the help of his land-adapted family, they hauled him off into the immense oasis that they also lived near. An extraordinary amount of space, about 100 square acres, Brine made himself at home. Even to this day, he can be found swimming and splashing in his home, occasionally jumping out of the water and flipping in the air. When he travels to the darkened depths of the large lake, he uses the lights at the tips of his whiskers to attract prey, much like an angler fish. His roar sounds like waves crashing against the shore.
