Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Unrest likes to travel. She has made no real home on any of the islands of Kitsune's archipelago. The first reason is that no dragon can stand her for long periods of time. They find her to be mean and rude and to have no regard for the feelings of other dragons. The second reason that she can't stand to be around other dragons for long periods of time. They simply don't understand her. They're all overly sensitive and take everything she says the wrong way. Unrest will probably spend most of her life journeying around the archipelago until she can find that one place where she can be happy. Preferably a place with no other dragons.
