Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Night Quickfang is a handful for any grown dragon. Trouble and Mischief always seemed to be in her pockets. She couldn't help but to find herself in the middle of anything that had to be fun, interesting, or down right busy. When she is by herself she could even stay quiet for hours at a time, but if there is anyone around she finds herself in the spot light and her mouth running as fast as it could. She is sure that some of the other dragons wished she was different, but she liked being the way she is. She decided that she didn't want to grow up and lose the special feeling of finding fun, and being playful, and she couldn't ever see herself giving up trouble and mischief. She wanted to stay young so bad that her wish was granted.
