Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Described as a tactical genius by some and as a paranoid workaholic by others, Dilano atlantis takes his position and responsibilities as a treasure hunter sometimes too seriously. He loves pearls. Dilano is considered the only one with common sense on his team of treasure hunting deep sea dragons. As the leader, he is quick to jump into action and he is quite resourceful, but tends to be paranoid to the point of stretching the truth and using his imagination when analyzing a potential threat towards his clan. Dilano is very practical, passionate and logical, as he does not believe in myths until it is proven to him. Dilano is best friends with Barbara seadeep, Selena lightdeep, Jade vive, Jasmine Jazz, Felix foe and Samuel Quest. These dragons are also close friends with each other. He is also rivals with Jade vive, being a noted treasure hunter herself. Dilano is noted for his very bright light antenna on his head.
