Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its belly is bright red and it is most active in the evening.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Newt is slow-moving most of the time and seems to enjoy sleeping more than any other activity. It has a very low metabolism, yet when it eats, it gorges itself so that it doesn't have to eat again for a day or so. Its stomach is exceptionally bright even in comparison to adult Sunset dragons, but why isn't readily known. Newt enjoys eating meat most, but will be satisfied with a juicy apple from time to time.
