As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Hidden always was treated differently, both his parents were Day Glories and everyone thought he would be one to. Wwhen he was born at night everything changed, after a while he became Nightly Song's 'favorite grandson' as the rumor had it. Nightly Songs did in fact think that when he dies, that leadership would go to one of his children or Hidden. When that got around camp, being around during the day was even more unbearable and since he got his wings then it seemed everyone was trying to push him to like Sunny Rain, she wasn't that Sunny Rain was all that bad but she was a Day Glory and he was a Night Glory. Also he can never completely trust anyone anymore, when he is now mature and is quite attractive. Many Drakes have tried to win his heart but none more then Sunny Rain. But when ever he turns her down she just puts her head down and says that she will wait for him. He is to this day flying in the darkest places he can hoping that one day he will find the perfect mate.
