Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Blade of the Dark Dawn is as beautiful and lethal as a slim blade -- partially leading to her name.  She embraces the darker side of magic, often casting spells in the dark midnight.  She named herself after a dream she had of a cursed day when the sun rose black and war destroyed the world.  Perhaps her fantasies of ruling the world are her way of coping with her father's disgrace.  She found a mate, Trader, and they have a son, Inky Swordseller.  Blade of the Dark Dawn is prideful and strong, and despises the members of the Tribe who scorn her, but she secretly only wishes to be accepted by them.  She is more than willing to eat any humans who dare disturb her or her family.
