Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ikisaki believes in fate. What exactly this means to him, however, he's not entirely quite sure of. He has a vague feeling that he's meant to accomplish something with his life, whether it's a split-second action or a venture that takes several years, and he's reasonably certain that there's a true love out there for him to discover sometime in the future. Maybe he'll rescue someone important or be rescued by them. Solitary by nature, Ikisaki will spend hours thinking about the nature of destiny and whether seeking it out or waiting for it is better. To this day, he's still confused, but has resolved to enjoy the quieter contemplation of simple pleasures like ice fishing.
