Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aura, titled the "Princess of Magic", is called so for two reasons. Aura's mother, a young Magi Dragon, had an egg, fell ill, and feared the egg would die. Before her mother died, she gave the egg to a friend, Emerald, for her to raise. Emerald was a Queen, and Aura grew up in wealth, being the adopted princess of "The Queen of Jewels". Emerald was the Queen of Gioielli (meaning "jewels"), a small but rich Kingdom on the border of the Sari Desert and the Bellissimo (meaning very beautiful) Forest. The other reason she is titled is because she seems to have incredibly strong magic, stronger than an average Magi Dragon. There is also talk of a betrothal to Eclipse, "The Champion of Magic". He is a powerful Celestial Dragon and an amazing general to Queen Emerald. Princess Aura would rather be married to Costellazioni, her current and secret mate. He is the King of Salitor Kingdom and is truly in love with Aura. Sadly, she had to abandon her first egg for its own safety.
