Arsani Dragons place a heavy emphasis on community. They are born with the innate ability to sense the emotions of others in their own species, and therefore take great care to ensure the happiness of their brethren. It’s not uncommon for them to give gifts and affection to those around them without warning. This good-natured giving extends far beyond the reaches of their own kind. Anyone who gains the friendship of a Arsani Dragon is likely to receive food, pretty rocks, and occasionally even flowers at regular intervals. The shared connection of the Arsani Dragons also allows them to draw on each other’s strength when performing feats of magic, making them some of the strongest spell casters yet discovered.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

She is powerful, both of wing and magic, and absolutely abhors the thought of sitting idle for too long. Part of this is due to her strong connection with her fellow Arsani, Gifted Emotions, who suffers from severe social anxiety. Hug sees it as her duty to be the social counter-weight to Gift, letting her experience the warmth of company through their mental link without cause for Gift to flee from her weyrmates' physical presences.

She spends most of her day flying about the outside of Preto's mountain with Gift, collecting flowers and feathers and various other objects that she can scatter amongst her fellow dragons. Many of the resident Balloon dragons take joy in assisting her, drifting lazily at check-points about the heights of the mountain, allowing the Arsanii to drop off their treasures before winging out once more.

While it can be said in confidence that there isn't a drop of maliciousness in her blood, she can get far too protective of Gift, particularly when separated.
