Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Miroiter's name means "Shimmer" in french. He is not happy with his name, but in spite of that he has a constant silly grin on his face. He is sarcastic and cunning, one of the most popular dragons in the group. His clever mind comes in handy when hunting, for the caribou he eats are in large groups and require persistence and energy to run ( or should I say fly) down. Miroiter's mind works like that of a wolf's; he hunts together with  multiple dragons including his mate, Argentcoeur. Together the group of hunting dragons herd out the young or sick caribou and chase it until it gives up, the dragons then kill it. Miroiter started this strategy among his clan, which is one of the reasons why he is so popular.
