Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Kawr stands in the awkward position of a duplicate—a dragon who has a purpose in a flight where that purpose has already been filled. With Alinda Shieldtail already acting as the supreme tender of eggs, all of Kawr's native instincts have no outlet. Because of this, she's always pacing and fidgeting. Her claws are nearly worn away from scratching them nervously on stone. Every now and again, she'll assert her right to the position of egg-tender, and even when Alinda submits, within a few days they have moved back to their usual positions.

As a result, she wanders the cave, trying to protect whatever dragon she runs across. This often puts her into direct path of the tiny Polum, who she sees as in deeply in need of protection due to his size. She, often against his wishes, will lift him up and carry him around in the great bowl of the back of her tail. As he sits there, curled up quietly, Kawr feels most useful and at peace.
