Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It spends its time pouncing on insects.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Beetle actually loves to hunt and eat beetles, hence its name. It seems to prefer the red ones, possibly because they resemble its own red color. It also likes to collect the shells left behind and pile them up neatly. Beetle is fast, but not very coordinated and ends up tripping over its own feet at times. When the sun goes down, Beetle is one of the first hatchlings to run back to the cave, as it only hunts during the day and dislikes both the dark and mosquitoes that bite it.
