Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Little Silver Mouse is often admired for his cute appearance. However, he doesn't care about they think ... unless it is Silver Rose, another eternally young silver.
Silver Mouse, the moment he saw Silver Rose, fell in love. He was determined to get her attention, her love, at least for her to notice him. He tried every possible way to impress her, and followed what the adult dragons said on how to win her heart. When he was told that she wanted to become "frozen", he even asked his owner to freeze him. Nothing worked. At last, he gave up trying to woo her.
Later on, he was told that Rose's mother suffered because of love and didn't want her to suffer the same fate. That is why Rose didn't, or couldn't, show her true emotions to Silver Mouse.
