Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Cal is a very quiet dragon, typically having nothing to say in any situation. He prefers to always be on the sidelines, watching and observing what others are doing, but never getting involved. Other dragons and people interest him. Some of them get annoyed by his presence. He has a tendency to just stare blankly at them, making them deeply uncomfortable.

No one has ever been sure as to why he does these things. At first it was believed that his head was simply ill and he wouldn't survive for very long. That theory was abandoned when he became full grown and was one of the healthiest dragons around. His scales are always clean and shining, and he can keep up with any dragon in his cave. He obviously knows how to take care of himself and he never gets into any trouble.
