Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dusk's Bite was only recently discovered in the cave and given a name. His egg was thrown away from the nest by pink dragons and rolled into the deep cave system and hatched alone. He grew up wild and untamed and had no name. One day Dusk's Bite wandered and ended up in the part of the cave where the clan dragons lived. Dusk's Bite, being wild, bit an egg and killed it. Once the clan found Dusk's Bite the leader had him kept in a small closed off section in the cave and taught how to talk and act tame. Dusk's Bite slowly began to become despondent and stopped talking the little he knew. He kept getting weaker till now he doesn't need a guard to keep him in one place; he's too weak to get any where with out someone seeing him. The elders say he's dying on the inside because he misses the wild. Only time will tell what will happen to Dusk's Bite.
