Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Despite being as black as outer space, it has a few bright patterns on it.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Black Constellation is often seen gazing up wistfully at the night sky. It seems to long to take flight, yet when other dragons offer to take it for rides, it just smiles sadly, shaking its head.

What the others don't know, however, is that once, when Black Constellation was very young, it had a very close friend. Its friend flew away one day into the starry sky one day, never to return, and since then Black Constellation has looked into the sky, wishing that one day its friend will come back.
