Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

"Jeraar" is a combination of two runes, the Germanic rune "Jera" (meaning "Year" or "Harvest") and the Viking rune "Ar" (meaning "Plenty"). Taken together, it could be taken to mean "Plentiful Harvest" or "Year of Plenty." "Soi" is the Viking rune for "Sun" and represents good fortune, health and happiness. Jeraar Soi is bright and cheerful, but not very talkative. She has a quiet happiness about her, which makes the others in the family quite glad she's around. She's also quite humble: she doesn't preen like the other females. She is the only one who truly cares about Thurisear Tir, and was quite happy to become his mate.
