Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Moonplacate has always been a deeply spiritual member of the Weyr of the Moon. She is always careful to say her prayers exactly as Moonsing, the Weyr's spiritual leader in worship of the Moon. Ever since she was a hatchling, she was devout in her duties, exemplary in her devotion to her hymns, in her work as one of the Moonstones who sings lullabies through the day to the Moon Herself. Her love of the Moon and Her Weyr guides her life, which is why the Moon's punishment has hurt her so badly.

When her mate Moonshrink was assigned to her, she accepted him dutifully, and when their appeal for their first child went through, Moonplacate was ecstatic. She's always wanted to be a mother. She fretted over the egg, watching it so constantly that for the first time in her life, her prayers took second place to something else. So the Moon acted swiftly. It took Moonplacate's egg while her mate watched it. Though she now has a new daughter, Moonplacate has never forgotten that first tragedy.
