Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kuaibo the Disciplined is a whiptail dragon. He, as his name suggests, is very disciplined and calm, though one only has to see the rippling muscles under his scales to know he is very strong. Dragons and hatchlings seeking to learn how to fight like Kuaibo pay visits to his small dwelling in the desert, where he spends his days practicing the art of self defense and coordinated attacks. Although he was asked by Isendae Anamatus, the leader of the clan, to train the hatchlings, Kuaibo refused, saying, "Those who truly want training will travel the harrowing journey across the desert to visit me. I will only teach the brave, strong dragons that are capable of such a feat. They alone deserve to share my knowledge and skills." To this day, if one wishes to learn the art of Kuaibo's fighting, they must first prove themselves by braving the lonely journey through the arid dunes to the cave where he trains those worthy of his knowledge and skills.
