Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pyromaniah is a friendly dragon, and he is one of the members of the hatchery staff. He watches over the eggs and hatchlings and makes sure they stay warm.

Pyromaniah's past is very dark. He used to be part of a clan called the Interludes, and those dragons were set on destruction and domination of the land. When he worked up the courage to flee, he found Dragon Isle's peaceful community, and he decided to stay.

He is the main nurturer of the hatchies and eggs, and he is in the safety of the hatchery almost all of the time. He has a gentle and calm nature that makes him perfect for taking care of the babies. Some even say that little dragons mature and learn much faster when they are with Pyromaniah, and that the Red Dragon is a destined nurturer. Either way, Pyro very much prefers his life here on Dragon Isle over the dangerous and evil ways of the Interludes clan.
