Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Knobby Knees doesn't have trouble walking to the point where it is impaired; it's just a bit clumsy. It loves to collect Liang Ai's discarded scales and neatly arrange them in a small pile.
