Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

"Just Because I'm Not New,

doesn't mean I'm not important too,

If only I was the brand new breed,

then maybe others shall just accept me."

Such is the sad, sad song sung by a daydream who wishes she was a new breed, but alas, was forever destined to be a carrier of dreams, a deliverer of fantasies, a wandering spirit of joy and imagination. Yet there are already many of her kind in the land, and a wondrous breed has just been discovered that can be made between a white and a daydream dragon—of any pair! One relied on science and medicine, the other on idle fantasy and dreams. But it sounded very intriguing, indeed, and imagine her parents' disappointment when they found out that their beloved daughter was not one of the fabled new breed, but rather just another daydream. So was the attitude of her whole clan, too, and she, a sorrow-filled hatchling, vowed to leave and find a place where they shall accept her for who she is—a place, she hopes, that is not just in her daydreams.
