Harvest Dragons are a large, flightless breed most often found in heavily forested mountains. Normally shy, these omnivorous dragons keep to themselves in remote regions, but in the fall they descend from their high territory to search for food—and lots of it. During the autumn months, harvest dragons will eat whatever they can find, from large and small animals to nuts and fruit. In the winter they retreat into large caves and hibernate until spring, living off the fat they have built up.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
While the natural diet of a Harvest Dragon mainly includes meat, nuts, and berries, this picky little fellow turns his dragon nose up at such fare. Eating such healthy foods will make one fit and when one is fit one has to do things that fit dragons do, such as have adventures, fly, and go outside—or so he always says. He loudly declares this is not the life that fate chose for him. With a carefully crafted diet of chocolate bars, gummy bears, and potato chips; a rigorously planned exercise program of sleeping and breathing; and a horde of adoring Pygmies to wait upon him, this dragon earns the envy of the lazy at heart and the scorn of the hard working.
However, the question that those who have never met him pose is how he manages to not be forced into productivity by his cave-mates—and why the Pygmies dote so. The answer: His powers of persuasion are off the charts.
