Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

StarSap was the first female of the Jinx Clan, there was a lot of arguing as to who would "get her" between the male dragons, but seeing as she spent her days in the clouds, thinking up and dropping daydreams on people, none of the other dragons could get to her. She was very lonely up in the sky by herself, and she had many a daydream of her own about what it would be like to have a friend in the clouds with her. StarSap liked to watch the other dragons down below her, and became fascinated with Arbroth, the Clan leader. She wondered what it would be like to live as a Dark Green dragon with their many vines, and soon ended up closer to Arbroth then any of the other dragons. She'd like to think of Arbroth as her mate, but he nor she keeps to making baby dragons with only one dragon amongst the Clan. Her first child with Arbroth was a male Daydream dragon, Fiica, and StarSap is now no longer lonely dropping daydreams from the clouds.
