Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Terzi is a terrifying force in a fight, using magic and physical blows against her enemies. Off the battlefield she is surprisingly gentle and caring. She often finds herself playing the mothering role for lost or abandoned hatchlings. She teaches all her clan mates the arts of battle magic, which can be difficult to learn and dangerous to control. She does her best and will prepare her students to the best of her abilities, this is because she knows all too well the consequences of defeat. Her most prominent and horrifying of her war wounds is the deep scar running from the base of her left horn down the length of her body. She will not speak of how she obtained it, and will only say it was the parting gift of her last defeat in battle.
