Few dragons embody serenity and potential quite as perfectly as Avatars of Creation. They dedicate their abilities to the arts of healing and growing, and their shimmering scales seem to glow in accordance with their mood. The tendrils of an Avatar of Creation grow slowly throughout its life, and the longer the tendrils grow, the more potent its abilities become.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Quar is a rather solemn dragoness. When she was young, she was different: upbeat and optimistic; but one day she realised that no matter how powerful, no matter how talented, it was impossible to reach perfection for anyone in Valkemar, even one as herself. This has humbled her to a point where she takes no joy from anything she creates but only ever sees the flaws and imperfections.
