Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Being the second dragon to mature under the care of Mr. Upsont, Draco Flagello Femininus (Latin for "Female Whip Dragon") is highly respected by all of the dragons and hatchlings in her owner's care. She inherited the dexterous physical abilities of her father, a purebred whiptail dragon, though she often thinks like her mother, a brave gold dragon with heavy red dragon influence. As such, her courageousness and bravery often gets the better of her and she tries to bite off more than she can chew and will not back down unless she is too hurt to continue fighting. Thankfully, when she is in danger, Pullus usually isn't to far away and will stand up for her.

  Flagello is a very loyal dragon, though she tends to show emotion shamelessly, both to her master and the other dragons, to the males in particular. Being the fastest dragon in this clutch by far, she is often the one sent off as a messenger, much to her chagrin, carrying scrolls (or sometimes a stolen egg or two) in her mouth.
