Hellhorse Dragons are foul-tempered, spirited creatures with tempestuous and violent dispositions. Torrents of scorching flames erupt from their bodies and can easily set their surroundings ablaze. Highly aggressive and territorial toward other dragon species, Hellhorses will tolerate others as long as they believe the association to be beneficial. Such alliances are tenuous in nature and frequently short-lived, as the slightest disagreement can easily escalate into a full-out brawl.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sanjit is a son of Jiyuu and Megami, who love their son dearly, despite his nasty temper. His name means "Invinceable" in Hindi. Sanjit has always had a nasty and short temper, and has gotten into many fights. Most of the other dragons tend to shy away from Sanjit now, since they're tired of walking on eggshells around him. One inhabitant of the colony who is NOT intimidated by Sanjit is Remy, the colony's human. He came at her snorting and shooting flames. She threw a bucket at his head and yelled at him to "CALM DOWN, OR SO HELP ME GOD I WILL KNOCK YOU DOWN!". Coming from the tiny human, this seemed an odd threat, and confused Sanjit enough that he backed down. He now watches the human with a wary eye, convinced that she posses terrible and dark magics. The other dragons all snicker at this. The only creature that Sanjit truly gets along with is his mate, the feisty and beautiful Sumana. They love each other deeply, even though they hate just about everyone and everything else.
