Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon's name is White, First Lineage. White grew up alone. She doesn't know if she was misplaced, or abandoned; all she knows is that, for most of her young life, she was forced to fight and flee, scrounging for food where she could. White was severely persecuted by other dragon tribes who hadn't seen an Albino Dragon before. Moreover, without other dragons at her back, these tribes feared that White was an exile. White's shrieking dragon call did her no favors.

Thrystus and Skolira were the first to ever treat her with kindness. The two of them had come from far away, where Albinos were more common, and they protected White until they reached more favorable hunting grounds. Instead of leaving White, they asked her to join their search for a new home. She quickly became dependent on the two, although with their help, she is currently working through her issues. White is incredibly close with Patellaslytha, another member of the First Lineage, the colony's founders.
