Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Despite his rather grandiose name, Atonus Aussir Caex Gix, or just "Gix" is a soft-spoken, kind dragon whose scalelessness and inability to go out in the sunlight earned him endless teasing as a hatchling. Rather than face the bullies, Gix turned to exploring caves. On one occasion, Gix wandered further into a cave than ever before, and became lost among its craggy depths; every tunnel looked just like the last. Just as Gix was ready to give up, he spotted a small cavern with a faint glow seeping from within. Mustering up his courage, Gix slipped into the cavern, and discovered a sleeping dragon statue whose tail wrapped lightly around the hilt of a sword. Gix pried the sword from the statue's tail, then slid the sword from its sheath. The blade was a silver so white it looked like moonlight, and it glowed whenever he turned back the way he had come. He was able to follow the sword's glow home, and from then on when he went exploring he made sure he always took his sword.
