Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Despite being the founder of the Karev Entertainers, Karev is largely overshadowed by Mivvit and the other performers, not that he minds. Shy and a bit of a recluse, he's content to remain behind the scenes and work on illusions and special effects for the monthly variety show. Karev's passion is puppetry—he uses telekinesis to animate lifelike, nearly life-sized, creations—and he provides the occasional supporting character for a skit. Beloved by all of the performers, he's the only one to largely escape all of the mayhem that often erupts among the performers. Karev's dream is to one day create a play that would be entirely acted out by his puppet creations, and he works on scenes in his spare time.
