Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Hematitia SteadyStone (after the gemstone: Hematite) joined the clan cave as its 213th member, only the second of her kind within the Mystal Clan. She is solid and steady like a rock, and she is without a doubt, the foundation that others break against. She is steadfast in her beliefs, and although slow to action, once she has reached a decision, nothing short of a miracle could persuade her otherwise. She spends most of her time among the hardest stone, working new tunnels and all the while, sating her enormous appetite. As a hatchling, she decided that Hematytus would be her mate, and sure as the stone, he became such. Their very first coupling produced a special progeny, bringing the very first Geode dragon into the clan cave. Sadly, as parents go, she is not very maternal, and the eggling's future rests in the care of the clan elders and The Clan Mother. She is not unkind, however, as the clan elders explain; it is just the way of their species, was expected and thus, planned for.
