Pseudo-Wyvern Drakes are a desert-dwelling species with an unusual bipedal body structure as adults. They start out as quadrupedal hatchlings and slowly start walking on their hind legs as they age. As their name suggests, these drakes are often mistaken for wyverns from afar as they ride the desert currents searching for food. A social drake, Pseudo-Wyverns travel in small packs, working, hunting, and raising young together.
Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.
User Description
An avid lover of cactus fruits, Yoikina considers herself one of the most adept in her family at harvesting cacti. She boasts that she's honed various skills for this specific task, such as hovering in place over the taller stalks and dexterously avoiding sharp spines as she plucks the fruit. In truth, Yoikina actually is just very patient and very good at finding long sturdy sticks, which she uses to poke at the base of the fruits until they fall off the cactus. However she does the harvesting, she is always greeted with enthusiasm when she returns to the family resting area with armfuls of cactus fruits.
