Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As the oldest dragon alive raised by DragonFiry, Prunella is one of the most talkative ones, especially around one of her best friends, Ribes the Canopy: it's not rare to spot her telling stories, or squeaking in joy while eating a tropical fruit, kindly shared by Ribes himself, or other Canopies.

Shy at first, rejected by her parents, Prunella was abandoned and taken as Firy's very first egg: a lucky catch, no doubt about it. Prunella loves to hang around other Dorsal dragons, along with Canopies, one of her favorite breeds to chat with, especially during the hottest days: they bring yummy fruit treats to everyone to enjoy!

It takes a lot to get her out of the "comfort zone", especially without Ribes around, but sometimes, friends are worth the risk.
