Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Blehte is one of the many hatchlings frozen by Crocoitia (a magi dragoness) while she was looking through a pile of rocks for anything that would catch her eye, though it is doubtful that she even realized that she was frozen.  Blehte is oblivious to anything other than food and pretty rocks.  She spends most of the day organizing her collection in her little cave before going out to hunt and collect more stones when she is hungry.  Wulfenite (Crocoitia's mate) attempted to convince Blehte to come live with the dragons so that she would always have other hatchlings to play with, but Blehte ignored him the way she ignores everything but rocks and food, continuing to live in her small cave the way she has done since she left her parents.
