Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Zippy of the Canopy-Trees, usually just called Zippy or even Zip, spends his days just hanging out in his rainforest habitat. He loves the feel of rain on his strong wings, and loves even more the sunshine that flows over him when he rests in the tree-tops of the rainforest canopy. When he is not soaking up the rain or sunbathing, he loves climbing up and down trees, showing off his extraordinary climbing ability. To make the show even more enthralling, especially to the younger dragons, he mixes his climbing in with bright flashes of his red and orange stripes and graceful spiraling motions as he moves up and down the trees and from tree to tree. He is a bit of a show-off, but has gained much respect—well deserved respect—from the other dragons, especially from the hatchlings. He truly is one of the best tree-climbers, and would never trade his rainforest life for anything in the world.
