Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Mongol Horde was a contemplative and thoughtful kind of dragon from the start. He loves to care for others and contemplate the mysteries of the world for hours on end. He often sits immobile and thinks on a variety of different topics. His mate is Desert Samarkand. They are centuries different in ages, but both were made for each other. They both feel no need for words and are completely content to be lost in their thoughts. Being Desert Samarkand's mate fills Mongol Horde's desire to help others because Desert Samarkand has become so tired of life she even forgets to eat. He is the only one who can coax her to eat, and he craves the feelings he gets from being able to keep another creature alive.
