Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Reikoku Kurasu de Kassia is the strongest and eldest dragon in Brambly Hedge cave. As a result of this he is the CaveLord. His eggmates are Nana, Sora, and Ayame. He lived without any interest in females for many egg years. Finally after Sora mated with the young Miyuki and had a little one, he began to be interested. It wasn't long until Miyuki's eggmate Murasaki caught his eye. Unlike Sora and Miyuki, he and Murasaki courted for a whole egg year before becoming mates. Sadly their mating did not result in any little ones. Murasaki was devastated by her inability to produce an egg, and Reikoku did his best to comfort her. He is very confident that soon, Murasaki and he will have many little ones.
