Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mainar has a fascination with magic that even his own kind considers obsessive. When you find Mainar, nine times out of ten he will have his head buried in a book or be casting a new spell. Since Mainar doesn't like to fight if he doesn't have to, his spells are utility spells: useful for mundane tasks but not so much for combat. In the clan, he functions as historian and healer. He was given this position after Ralair lost her wing, then had it sewed back on so perfectly that when she woke up, she was sure it was a dream that she had ever lost her wing to begin with. He has a crush on Freyara, but she ignores him. Ralair flirts lightly with him, but has no actual feelings beyond base lust, if that.
