Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

On her third Christmas celebrated within the Mountains of Elgar, Flight came upon a herd of Snow Angel dragons, their wings glaring brightly as they moved and their bodies glistening in the sunlight like freshly fallen snow. Upon seeing them, the teenage girl was filled with a profound sense of joy and she found herself unable to do anything other then to laugh in utter happiness. The sound of her laughter seemed to please the dragons, who presented her with one of their kind. Flight raised Evemre with as much love and care as she had given all her other dragons. The Snow Angel was well known as a loving and protective dragon who watched over her "siblings", her littermates while living in Flight's cave. As an adult, Evemre departed the Mountains of Elgar to live in unknown parts, visiting only during Christmas to share the "spirit of the holidays". Since the finding of the High Family, Evemre and her fellow Christmas dragons struggle to uplift Flight's spirits when in Elgar.
