Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Midnight Emerald was born into a cruel family with an unloving mother. His owner abandoned him soon after he was born. Scared and confused, he was soon adopted by another human whom further misused him. He befriended an elderly dragon there who helped him escape into the wild. This caused him to be cold-hearted, and to hold a hatred of humans. He trusted no one! He was soon adopted by Abbi, who loved and cared for him. Eventually, he learned to love again, although he has vowed to get his revenge on his first and second owners. He mated with jade envey, and they had many hatchlings. He is currently a member of the Fight Faction and lives with his family in the Black Draco Cave. Strong and prideful, this dragon makes a wonderful friend and formidable foe.
