Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kaida is most definitely a Sunrise dragon. She couldn't live without the morning sun. Every single morning she goes out on to a large meadow and just sits and feels the hot sun on her scales. Most of her other friends are Sunrise dragons although she has one exception. Aurora is one of her closest friends. They hang out a lot although Aurora doesn't like getting up early in the morning. She eats mostly leaves and flowers for breakfast because its most convenient. For supper and lunch she usually goes out hunting with Aurora for small animals. Once the sun goes down she is asleep huddled in a group of other Sunrise dragons.
